    Is a beach permit required to park at Porter beach?

    Yes, a beach permit is required to park at Porter Beach. A valid driver’s license and vehicle registration must be shown at the time of registration; stickers are not transferable across vehicles or purchasers. Beach permit fees are as follows:

    Additional $5.00
    Out of Town Visitor $30.00

    Is there a smelt parking permit?

    Yes, but smelt parking permits are only valid for the months of March, April, and May. The costs are:

    $15.00 for a non-resident from Indiana

    $30.00 for out-of-state residents
